- Convert and implement business requirements into analysis specifications.
- Analyse historical data for conversion into risk model parameters and assumptions.
- Confirm appropriateness and reasonability of input data for projects.
- Perform quantitative analysis of outputs for testing and validation purposes.
- Communicate analysis framework and results to internal and external audiences.
- Answer ad-hoc requests from the business regarding risk and capital analysis.
- Develop and maintain documentation relating to analyses.
- Assist development insurance risk methods, including building and testing modelling tools
- Postgraduate degree in Mathematics or Statistics, or Actuarial student making progress towards qualification.
- 2+ years of experience in risk and capital modelling for an insurance company.
- Experience of using programming languages, such as Python, R or MatLab, and ability to learn new ones.
- Proven proficiency in mathematical, statistical, or actuarial methodologies.
- Knowledge of various General Insurance products and roles of different risk types.
- Experience with pricing and reserving methodologies.

What you need to know
The Capital Modelling Risk Analyst will support the development, testing, and documentation of the business uses of AIG’s Internal Capital models and be involved in supporting the associated production processes. The role will provide exposure to the modelling and aggregation of General Insurance, including catastrophic and non-catastrophic risk. The work will range across model parameterization, testing, review and review of results, as well as supporting business partners with uses. This is a Global role, working closely with teams in London and New York.
