      Job Summary

      The Capital Project Manager is directly responsible for the day-to-day execution of ownership funded budgeted capital projects emergency capital projects or insurance related projects related to losses at the hotel. This could include projects ranging in value from $500-$100000000. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Project Management the Capital Project Manager serves as the primary liaison between hotel operations an individual contractor vendors contractors and insurance companies facilitating each of the projects at the individual properties.

      Responsibilities

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Bachelor's degree (engineering architecture building sciences) required with 5+ years full-service hotel engineering experience.
      • Knowledgeable of all aspects of hotel engineering including all mechanical systems fire life safety plumbing and electrical systems and aesthetic finishes.
      • Ability to read and interpret construction documents construction specifications and as-built blueprints associated with hotel construction.
      • Familiarity with Hotel Brand standards and Hotel Brand design programs.
      • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Word Excel Outlook and Project.
      • Familiar with Procure to Pay systems (i.e. Birchstreet or similar accounting technology platform).
      • Well-organized self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
      • Excellent Communication skills.
      • Travel as necessary to hotel properties.

      JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Lead projects from beginning stages to completion.
      • Coordinate projects with the properties contractors and vendors.
      • Solicit bids for equipment and contractors to perform repair work at either local or national level.
      • Evaluate bids to determine opportunities for cost/time savings.
      • Recommend appropriate bidder to complete repair work.
      • Day-to-day management of contractors/subcontractors and vendors involved with assigned projects.
      • Responsible for cost and schedule controls of projects to ensure projects are on time and on budget.
      • Provide reporting of project status including budget schedule scope of work changes risks and opportunities on a regular cadence as determined by VP but not less than monthly.
      • Provide timely and accurate administrative accounting and other reports as determined by VP.
      • Provide on-going communication of overall projects and work with the operations team at the property to assure minimal disruption to guests and to revenue.
      • Facilitate effective communication with corporate personnel.
      • Manage the project expenses to ensure budgeted and financial goals are met.
