Job Description
- Req#: 131448
- Adheres to all departmental and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.
- Plans, directs, and coordinates the fire, safety, and emergency procedures of the casino to ensure the safety of passengers, employees, and property in keeping with U.S. Coast Guard regulations.
- Abides by Louisiana Gaming Commission regulations as it pertains to riverboat gaming.
- Observes and enforces compliance with U.S. Coast Guard regulations on the vessel and for all vessel personnel.
- Adheres to and enforces all established policies and procedures.
- Directs deck and engine personnel on watch to complete daily maintenance and repair tasks.
- Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters.
- These skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a college degree (preferred), but maybe be substituted by an extensive work history. in addition, three years’ experience as a Captain (or 6 years as a Mate) onboard passenger vessels is required, and U.S. Coast Guard License as 4000 GT Master on Western Rivers and Radar Observer Rivers at a minimum.
- Ability to perform duties required during emergencies; mentally and physically able to perform all firefighting duties; CPR and Firefighting training is required.
- Must possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. - Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Must have strong leadership and team building skills.
- Must be detailed oriented.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
- Must have the ability to remain calm in emergency or stressful situations.

Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.
