What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct effective prospective and concurrent review of requested services according to guidelines
- Document members' service benefits and contact health plans as necessary
- Direct providers/members to contracted network and facilities
- Process authorizations for HMO/PPO clients as per Optum procedures
- Assist with referral processing, durable medical equipment, and home health services coordination
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 1+ years of customer service or healthcare experience
- Must adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy
- Must pass a drug test before employment
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Compliance with all HIPAA standards
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 2+ years of office experience in the healthcare industry
