      Responsibilities/Qualifications

      Homestead is seeking compassionate and experienced Caregivers and MedTechs to provide care to our residents in Muskegon, MI.

      The Caregiver/MedTech will assist residents with activities of daily living, medication administration, help with laundry and provide companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, possess excellent communication skills, and foster genuine relationships with seniors.

      Responsibilities:

      • Assisting clients with activities of daily living, specifically but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care, etc.
      • Passing medications.
      • Providing companionship and emotional support to clients.
      • Assist residents with laundry, including bedding.
      • Reporting any changes in the resident's condition to the supervisor.
      • Communicate in a professional manner with families, support services, and coworkers of Homestead.
      • Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
      • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

      Requirements:

      • Must be 18 years old.
      • High school diploma or GED.
      • Able to pass a criminal background check.
      • Experience working with the elderly.
      • Able to lift 50 pounds.
      • Every other weekend is required.
      • Reliable transportation.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to arrive on time for every shift.
