      Overview

      Under the direction of the Manager and LEAD Carpenter the incumbent adjusts, repairs, builds and maintains all furniture and wood products throughout the property.

      Responsibilities

      • Performs all preventive maintenance on all wood products and furniture.
      • Builds shelving and cabinets, temporary structures, repairs furniture.
      • Maintains technical logs and records all relevant data as appropriate.
      • Constructs, erects, installs and repairs structures and fixtures of wood, metal, and wall board in accordance with applicable building codes, oral instructions or specifications.
      • Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times.
      • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
      • Performs all other related and compatible/non-compatible duties as assigned.

      Qualifications

      • High school diploma or technical certificate as well as a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience with wood working or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
      • Must possess or can obtain a valid New Jersey Casino Service Registration.
