      Job Description

      General Summary Of Duties:

      The Carpenter is responsible for performing both rough and finish carpentry, involving cutting, shaping, planning, and fastening together pieces of wood and other materials.

      Role and Responsibilities: (Includes but is not limited to the following)

      • Prepare the layout of the project.
      • Estimate height, width, length, and other proportions.
      • Select materials.
      • Work with blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
      • Work with materials such as wood, plastic, or drywall.
      • Utilize chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to repair and erect structures.
      • Join materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives.
      • Work on top of scaffolding, ladders
      • Check work along the way to ensure it's up to code and specifications.
      • Build stairs, mantles, and furniture.
      • Install cabinets and molding.
      • Replace ceiling tiles, and doors.
      • Install partitions, doors.

      Additional Information

      Experience Requirements

      • 5+ years of carpentry experience
      • 2+ years of head carpenter experience

      Education Requirements

      • High school diploma OR GED Equivalent.
