Job Description

- Supports shelter operations and responds to crisis scenarios
- Supports connections to coordinate resources to ensure clients are receiving the supports they need
- Handles shelter intake/exit
- Enforces shelter rules, conducts misconduct conversations, handles incident response, and provides de-escalation support
- Handles communication of shelter policy changes
- Directs support to resettlement partners including outmigration
- Schedules services appointments with legal services
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish)
- Must possess either of the following:
- At least two (2) years' relevant experience in case management, social work, or similar field
- OR one (1) year of relevant experience plus an associate or bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Services, Sociology, Psychology, or related field of study.
- Experience dealing with multicultural clients
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with employees, community contacts, government officials and participants
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Pay Range: $35/hour. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
POSITION SUMMARY INFORMATION: DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS
Job Summary:
The Case Manager is responsible for working with residents to identify and address service needs including housing, benefits, health, legal, etc. through referral or direct support. Tasks include but are not limited to intake of new clients, individual counseling for resident misconduct and connecting residents to appropriate support systems.

Work Environment:
Employees may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
Physical Requirements:
Employees may be required to remain in a stationary position, stand, push, pull, climb, kneel, crawl, balance, squat, bend, and reach during shifts. Employees may be also required to use gear to move items around, including, but not limited to, carts and dollies. Employees may also be occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 49 pounds.
