Job Summary:
Provide case management and support to children and families. Plan, implement, evaluate, and document interventions and activities that target the mental health needs of the child and family. Assist and collaborate with other professionals in order to meet the needs of child and family in order to enhance progress and stability.Job Requirements:
Education: Masters Degree in Psychology, Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy is preferred, but Bachelors Degree or High School diploma with extensive community experience will be considered.
Experience: 1-2 years experience working with children and families with a culturally diverse population.
License: Driver's License
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Normal an atypical child development. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary setting with a diverse group of professional and support staff. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to crises. Position requires: 1) moderate physical activity such as sitting, traveling, walking, driving, bending, lifting and computer usage; 2) ability to work independently, organize tasks, problem solve, make decisions, and handle multiple priorities; 3) interpersonal skills with co-workers and client families in varied settings.Physical Requirements:
Sit: Up to 6 hours/day
Stand/Walk: Up to 6 hours
Bend/Stoop: Up to 3 hours
Reach: Up to 6 hours
Rep Use of UE: Up to 6 hours
Lift/Push/Pull: 25 lbs, over 25# with assistance or equipment
