      About You

      Things You Will Do

      ATLAS is a growing contractor, so you'll likely gain experience across diverse settings. Here are some things you'll probably do:

      • Conduct intake assessments to determine the needs and goals of migrants, developing and implementing individualized service plans in collaboration with them.

      • Utilize effective case management techniques, including Motivational Interviewing, Psychological First Aid, Client and Trauma-Informed Care, verbal de-escalation techniques, and strength-based, solution-focused services.

      • Research and establish local and international resources useful to migrants, coordinating with service providers to ensure clients receive necessary medical care, legal assistance, and social services.

      • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all case management activities in the database, ensuring compliance with program policies and procedures, including safeguarding sensitive information.

      • Conduct regular follow-up meetings with migrants to monitor progress and update service plans as needed.

      • Advocate on behalf of migrants to ensure they receive appropriate services and support.

      • Demonstrate cultural competence, inclusivity, and sensitivity when working with vulnerable populations such as asylees, refugees, and unhoused individuals.

      • Remain calm and composed under stress, providing crisis intervention and support as needed.

      • Participate in regular team meetings and case conferences to review cases and ensure coordination of services.

      • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all program policies and procedures.



      Requirements

      Qualifications

      • High School Diploma and 1-2 years of case management experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or related field, with no additional experience required.

      • Bilingual in Spanish and English or another language predominantly used in location preferred. Non-bilingual candidates may be considered.

      • Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and common office equipment.

      • Strong organizational abilities, outstanding writing and verbal communication skills, and the capacity to multitask.

      • Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish is a plus.

      Physical Requirements

      • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

      • Ability to work under stressful conditions and manage multiple priorities.

      • Ability to ascend/descend stairs.

      • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

      • Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods.

      • Visual acuity is required to complete paperwork and computer work.
