Completing daily reconciliations of our bank accounts and identifying anything unusual
Investigating discrepancies with internal and external parties
Undertaking reconciliations for broker trades against internal records
Facilitating payments to our clients, receipting client funds, and following advisor instructions
Settlement of foreign exchange deals
Reporting using excel and other tools.
Identifying areas of improvement for the Operational Excellence Team
Learning and assisting with other roles within the Operations team
You will be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal and be comfortable liaising with a range of internal and external clients.
You will have great attention to detail, never missing a beat.
You will possess strong business acumen and sound judgement, able to pick up anomalies.
You will be a fast learner, able to pick up new and complicated systems.
You will be a great team player and enjoy working with others.
You will have a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

The role involves liaising with teams from across the Operations department, the institutional and retail desks and a range of external financial institutions to provide an efficient, accurate and timely settlement across NZX and foreign markets.
In the Cash team, we have a role in keeping Jarden safe, managing our money well, whilst supporting our customers and other teams to deliver a consistent standard, every day. The Cash team is split into roles holding responsibilities across NZD payments, Foreign Payments, Foreign Exchange Settlement (Retail and Wholesale), Reconciliations and Term Deposits.Key responsibilities could include:

Ideally, you will have a relevant degree in finance, commerce or accounting or 1-2 years’ experience in settlements or a similar role and a keen interest in Financial Markets.
