      Description:

      Come join the Food & Nutrition team at Saint Francis Hospital, part of Trinity Health Of New England! We are a member of the nationwide Trinity Health family, bringing compassionate care to our communities.


      Position Purpose:

      Under direction of a cafeteria supervisor, the cafeteria cashier operates cash register and collects cash of approximately $3500 daily in an efficient, accurate and courteous manner. Responsible for maintaining records and statistics.

      What you will do:

      • Handles all cash transactions related to cafeteria services.

      • Operates and maintains cash register according to established procedure.

      • Contributes to the efficient operation of the department and the achievement of excellence by following departmental and hospital guidelines.

      Working Conditions:

      • Some standing. High tolerance for stress due to long lines of customers. Position requires ability to frequently lift light objects less than 20 lbs., perform difficult manipulative, arm-hand steadiness, and hand-eye coordination skills; walk, stand and sit for prolonged periods; see objects closely and hear normal sounds with some background noises.

      • Pleasant environment, noisy and crowded working conditions. Employee may frequently be exposed to unpleasant noises

      Minimum Qualifications :

      • Education: High school graduate.

      • Experience: A minimum of one year cashier experience.

      • Skills: Operates a cash register and calculator, excellent customer relation skills.
