      Job Summary

      Responsible for the cleaning of all public areas, restrooms and offices throughout the entire Casino complex as needed.

      Essential Duties And Responsibilities

      • Ensure that all cleaning materials, chemicals and equipment are used per the manufacturer’s instructions.
      • Perform all duties in a safe manner, reducing the risk to guests, team members and self.
      • Utilizes proper/approved cleaning materials and solutions.
      • Pick up paper and trash from floor and around machines.
      • Clean machines, toilets, sinks and mirrors.
      • Empty and clean ashtrays.
      • Collect cups and trash, pull full trash bags, push trash cart to dumpster and empty.
      • Operate and clean vacuum sweepers.
      • Reports conditions of establishment to supervisor.
      • Ensure that all OSHA safety rules and regulations are followed.
      • Assist with special event clean up and crew management.
      • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

      Qualifications

      Knowledgeable in the use of cleaning products. Ability to tactfully and diplomatically deal with the public and staff. Must possess excellent business sense and high professional ethics. Must possess a high regard for guest service and team member relations.

      EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

      High School Diploma or GED required. Previous housekeeping experience is preferred.

      LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:

      Must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency.

      LANGUAGE SKILLS:

      Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form, such as rules and regulations, instructions and procedure manuals.

      MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

      Ability to add and subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.

      REASONING ABILITY:

      Ability to develop and maintain harmonious working relationships with staff and guests.

      PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

      While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The team member frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The team member is occasionally required to sit. May be required to climb. The team member must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

      WORK ENVIRONMENT:

      This is a fast paced work environment and the position requires the ability to cope with it. The casino has moderate to loud noise levels and is a smoking environment.

      WORKING HOURS:

      Because we are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, most positions require flexibility in scheduling and may require team members be available for evenings, weekends, holidays and special events. A typical workweek and normal work schedules may vary based on business needs and may include scheduled shifts Monday through Sunday. Position may require overtime.
