DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: The primary responsibility of this position is to maintain the cleanliness of all designated areas of the Lake of the Torches Resort Casino. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Executes numerous housekeeping and cleaning activities to ensure cleanliness of facilities. Housekeeping activities include: sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, shampooing carpets, stripping and waxing floors, window and wall washing, woodwork maintenance and dusting.
2. Is responsible for removing debris and trash from the gaming floor, hallways and restrooms and replacing trash receptacles and ashtrays.
3. Notifies shift supervisor or security of any money, chips or credits found on the gaming floor.
4. Notifies shift supervisor or housekeeping manager of maintenance repairs and cleaning supply needs.
5. Notifies supervisor, manager, security or facility administrator of situations that may affect guests or associates of the Lake of the Torches Resort Casino.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Frequent contact with associates at all levels within all departments of the organization.
External: Continual contact with guests and visitors.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Receives direction and supervision from the Shift Supervisor and Housekeeping Manager on a daily basis.
EDUCATION: A High School education or equivalent is preferred.
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of six months in a housekeeping or a customer focused environment is preferred.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS: Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to manage and maintain confidential and sensitive information with diplomacy and tact. Must maintain a professional demeanor in stressful situations as necessary.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
1. Work Conditions: The majority of position responsibilities are performed on the gaming floor and within other Lake of the Torches Resort Casino properties as designated with exposure to differentials in temperature.
2. Exposure to Hazards: May be exposed to situations where hazardous chemicals, spills, wet floors of guest behaviors may create undesirable conditions.
3. Physical Requirements: Must be able to walk, sit, stand, bend or lift for extended periods of time. Must be able to operate housekeeping machinery for extended periods of time.
