      JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT

      RESPONSIBILITIES

      Guests

      You will help to create exceptional experiences for our guests by:

      · Ensuring that every guest feels cared for, valued and respected – every guest, every time.

      · Recognizing out return clients and making them feel valued and welcomed back.

      · Looking after small functions and making sure that anyone on your function is briefed correctly, thus ensuring seamless service delivery.

      · Pro-actively solving any Guest issues or complaints on your shift and encouraging those on your shift to use their initiative and empowerment guidelines at all times.

      · Being aware of Meeting Planner in SALT and viewing comments to make recommendations to improve our service levels.

      · Checking and completing shift log books, making sure that all client activity is noted and followed up promptly. Liaising where necessary with Event Sales if a problem occurs.

      · Assist with training team members in product knowledge so that you can give our clients the best service and advice possible.

      · Making sure that standards are consistently applied across the floor so that the guest experience is consistently excellent.

      · Always be hands on and on the floor, leading the way and showing a shining example of hospitality to the team.

      · Ensure that everything is in the room and ready for the event ahead of time.

      · Liaising closely with Event Organisers, taking care of their requirements on the day and making sure that their experience is a stress free and hospitable one.

      · Liaising with the kitchen regarding numbers and also dietary requirements.

      · Being knowledgeable about various dietary requirements

      Team

      As an Event Operations Team Leader you will help ensure that the work environment is safe, happy and productive by:

      · Making sure your team is on time, ready and know what to do on their shift.

      · Helping to complete Job Skills Checklists for new team members.

      · Looking after our equipment and making sure that the team do the same.

      · Ensuring that all our team conduct themselves in a manner consistent with good Occupational Safety and Health practices.

      · Ensure all Team Members are aware of OHS objectives and procedures.

      · Ensuring that new or existing team members are trained and upskilled in current practices or skills

      · Being there for our team members, to offer support and encouragement where needed and ensuring that they are happy in their department

      · Encouraging our team for positive behavior and excellent results.

      Occupational Safety and Health

      · Work in a safe and healthy manner and encouraging the safe behaviour of your peers

      · Take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and others (Team Members, contractors, guests, Members of the public) at Parmelia Hilton Perth

      · Keep your work area safe, clean and tidy

      · Accept and abide by, the intent and instruction of the OSH Commitment

      · Participating in OSH consultative meetings relevant to your department, emergency response rehearsals and reviews

      · Report immediately, to you direct supervisor any hazards which may cause injury, ill health or damage and actively participate in programs undertaken to eliminate or control such hazards to the extent to which you are authorised and/or qualified

      · Report immediately all incidents and near misses– no matter how small to your direct supervisor

      · Undertake all training in safe work practices, system requirements, and where necessary, re-training

      · Participate and cooperate in our rehabilitation and return to work program if injured

      · Wear and maintain all personal protective equipment (PPE) as required your job or work environment

      · Cooperate with Parmelia Hilton Perth regarding any requirement that is enforced in the interests of health, safety and welfare at work.
