- BA degree in Communications, and at least 15 years of experience in all aspects of video production, including producing, directing, and editing of short and long-form programs and web videos for local, national, and international distribution.
- Knowledge of Hawai‘i labor and political history.
- Experience in archival research of historic photographs, moving images, and historic documents.
- Knowledge and substantial practical experience in the preservation and digitization of archival film and video, including the various formats represented in CLEAR’s archive; and knowledge of related copyright restrictions.

POSITION TITLE: Video Producer/Director
HIRING UNIT: University of Hawaii - West Oahu
LOCATION: Kapolei, HI
POSITION TYPE: Casual Hire
HOURLY RATE: $26.00 per hour, not to exceed 19 hours per week.
OTHER CONDITIONS: Position is expected to start June 28, 2024 and not to exceed June 27, 2025.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work at the direction of the director and senior faculty of the Center for Labor Education and Research (CLEAR) in the production of programming that satisfies CLEAR’s statutory missions (HRS §304A-1601) to document, digitize, preserve, and archive Hawai‘i labor history; and to assist the Center in the creation of educational material and media for the faculty, students and the general public.
