  Position Summary:

  A Casual Research Assistant 1 position is open at the Brain Imaging Centre of the Montreal Neurological Institute. The candidate will apply cutting-edge Immuno-Histo-Chemistry methods to label tissue samples.

  Duties include:

  • Applying IHC to tissue samples;
  • Imaging the labeled tissue using a fluorescence microscope, a light-sheet microscope and a slide scanner;
  • Writing reports on the experiments.

  Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate has knowledge and experience in tissue processing, IHC, and microscopy.
  • Candidates should have excellent communication and organizational skills.

  Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level 4 on a scale of 0-4.
