As a CAT 1099 Independent Field Adjuster, you will manage your own workload, inspect property damages, and provide timely, fair, and accurate claims assessments. If you thrive in a fast-paced, self-driven environment and have a passion for field adjusting, we want to work with you!
What You’ll Do
As a CAT Independent Field Adjuster, you will:
✔️ Independently investigate, evaluate, and resolve daily property claims following client and company standards.
✔️ Inspect damaged properties, assess the loss, and prepare estimates using Xactimate and Symbility.
✔️ Determine claim-related damage, confirm policy coverage, and make recommendations accordingly.
✔️ Set and manage reserves per carrier guidelines.
✔️ Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies, repair procedures, and market pricing.
✔️ Submit reports on severe incidents, insured-to-value (ITV) findings, and other necessary documentation.
✔️ Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring professionalism in all communications.
✔️ Manage your own schedule, assignments, and client expectations while meeting industry service standards.Who You Are
To succeed as an CAT Independent Field Adjuster, you should:
✅ Hold a valid property adjuster license for your state of operation.
✅ Have at least 2-3 years of experience handling property claims.
✅ Be proficient in Xactimate and Symbility estimating software.
✅ Have strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
✅ Maintain general construction knowledge to assess damages accurately.
✅ Own or have access to necessary equipment (ladder, safety gear, measuring tools, etc.).
✅ Have a valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
✅ Be physically capable of climbing ladders, entering attics/crawlspaces, and working on roofs.
✅ Maintain professional liability insurance if required.
✅ Have strong time management skills to handle multiple claims efficiently.
