      Project Coordinator- SCM Student Services

      The SCM Student Services Office is seeking to fill 2 positions in the role of Catalyst Project Coordinator.

      Position Information: The Catalyst Project Coordinator will coordinate activities for the Catalyst project in the HRSA 2023 Medical Student Education Grant. Catalyst is a multifaceted program designed to support K-20 students in their journey to successful medical education and a career in medicine. The program has a specific emphasis in premed student support. The Catalyst project coordinator will be responsible for the following:

      Essential Duties:

      • Coordinates all activities related to the project(s).
      • Interfaces and serves as liaison with Campus, College and Department administration to accomplish project(s) outcomes.
      • Leads the successful implementation using basic planning techniques.
      • Establishes and maintains on-going reporting process.
      • Attends meetings, workgroup sessions and seminars.
      • Provides training and develops on-going training as needed.
      • Performs related duties as assigned or as required to successfully fulfill functions of the position
      • Partner with existing student organizations on campus to recruit and staff volunteers for Catalyst programming.
      • Develop Community Service and Outreach opportunities with local organizations.
      • Work with Student Success Team to provide support for study skills, test skills etc.
      • Oversee the development, implementation and maintenance of the Catalyst/Pathways Alumni Database to include longitudinal tracking of participants.
      • Oversee student workers and volunteers as they provide follow up, support, and resources for Pathways Alumni
      • Support other K-20 programs that meet the goals of the Catalyst project.
      • Oversee Catalyst student leadership team and annual leadership transition.
      • Serve as primary advisor for the Catalyst Program.

      Qualifications:

      Required Education: Bachelor's degree, AND:

      • 24 months of project management or related experience.

      Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 72 months of related experience.

      Working Conditions:

      • Physical: Sit for prolonged periods. Communicate effectively and listen. Use of a computer. Manual dexterity.
      • Environmental: Standard Office Environment

      Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

      • Advanced organization and communication skills
      • Excellent computer skills
      • Ability to make independent decisions and judgment when following broad instructions
      • Ability to plan, coordinate, and prioritize workload
      • Advanced level of analytical, evaluative, and constructive thinking.
