  Description

  • analyze data, provide knowledge and insight, and create/develop appropriate reports for the Deli RBU, and/or Retail Operations to help make informed business decisions
  • act as a liaison/ subject matter expert between Deli RBU and Information Systems to support the implementation of new or enhanced applications, including the verification of overall performance, function, data and appropriate data extraction/reporting capabilities
  • support Publix with database development, reporting and tracking tools, item extraction and integration, store and supplier data in multiple formats, from multiple sources
  • clearly identifying opportunities or issues that exist for the Strategic Business Units they support with the goal of generating either a financial gain or cost savings for Publix
  • facilitating communication regarding data sourcing between Deli RBU and internal departments such as IT, as well as external data providers
  • participate in Continuous Quality Improvement efforts to improve individual and departmental processes
  • training and mentoring of new analysts

  Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business or analytical discipline, or equivalent experience in a Business Analyst role
  • knowledge of advanced spreadsheet use
  • knowledge of interpreting data and creating charts/graphs
  • ability and willingness to demonstrate eagerness, enthusiasm, optimism, and passion when working
  • ability to work effectively without close supervision or guidance
  • ability to self-direct work activities and take action on tasks without direction from a supervisor
  • willingness and ability to develop oneself
  • manage time so that the priority of the activities determines the timing and amount of attention they receive
  • ability to determine, apply, and perform necessary arithmetic operations to solve practical math problems
  • to inspect, cleanse, transform and model data from various sources with the goal of discovering useful information/trends, informing conclusion and supporting decision-making
  • interpret, analyze, and explain financial information
  • ability to be detail oriented
  • ability to effectively resolve problems
  • written and verbal communication skills
  • basic skill level in Microsoft PowerPoint and Access
  • advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel
  • willingness to work extended hours as business needs require

  Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 years’ experience in a Business Analyst role
  • knowledge of Fresh Department KPI’s and metrics used
  • basic skill level in Microsoft Word
  • intermediate skill level in Microsoft PowerPoint
  • expert skill level in Microsoft Excel and Access
  • experience using MicroStrategy Developer, APT, SQL Assistant, PIMS, PARIS, and PowerBI

  Potential Annual Pay with Bonus

  62,530 - 93,990

  Year End Bonus

  As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.
