Job Description

- Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics or related field
- 1+ years of experience in CPG sales, category leadership, analytics, or consumer and shopper insights
- 2+years of Category Leadership experience with an understanding of the category management process
- Previous data analytic experience
- Demonstrated ability to translate insights into actionable solutions and ability to apply them to appropriately address business issues.
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Suite (ex. Excel and PowerPoint)
- Experience working with Nielsen or IRI or equivalent data sources
- Previous sales experience
- Experience working with JDA Planogram software
- Advanced experience with Panel and Scan Syndicated Data (IRI or Nielsen)
- Support Category Leadership center of excellence, delivering solutions to enable field sales to drive thought leadership with key customers.
- Support Sr. Category Insights Manager to deliver aligned annual category growth solutions toolkits to deploy to field sales.
- Support Sr. Category Insights Manger to deliver aligned annual Department, Species and Category stories to deploy to field sales as a part of sales toolkits,
- Develop and deliver timely reporting for evaluation of category performance and insights
- Leverage relevant secondary research/data sources to identify & quantify business opportunities
- Support Sr. Category Insights Manger to deliver Perfect Store targets, scorecard, and audit results to deliver improvement against objectives.
- Support development of category management tools, while serving as consultant in execution of tools/resources to drive consistent and excellence in category leadership.
- Proactively work with the key cross-functional partners in field sales, sales strategy, insights and brand to understand business priorities. Utilize shelf management software (JDA) and category expertise to provide recommendations for research and Picture of Success.

Category Analyst
Franklin, TN
Hybrid (50% on-site)
The Category Analyst position enables Category Leadership excellence across the organization. Collaborating highly with the Sales Strategy, brand and OneInsights teams to drive close linkage with customer priorities. This position serves as a key interface with field category management and field sales to deliver thought leadership through effective business solutions for the category and Mars. The Category Analyst position is part of a center of excellence team charged with the translation of shopper and market insights and analytics into the development of organizationally aligned solutions to optimize category and Mars growth.
