      Job Description

      As a Category Management Specialist, you will support Category Teams in delivering both the in-store and online strategy. You’ll be the point person in product item set up and merchandising our online SKU assortment while optimizing Product Detail Pages to make our customers shopping decisions easier and relevant. You’ll manage item attribute data and drive process efficiency. You’ll collaborate, optimize, troubleshoot, and deliver a best-in-class online customer experience by acting as a center of excellence for cross-functional partners.

      This role is hybrid, which means you will work some days at a Best Buy location (Corporate Campus, Richfield, MN) and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

      What you’ll do

      • Drive Category Conversion, Revenue, and Profit through SKU display accuracy, slotting, and item accuracy and maintenance.
      • Manage and own the item set-up, asset management, and maintenance process through the item lifecycle with input from cross-functional partners.
      • Support key product launches, item data and item set up, product availability, attach capabilities, and SKU detail page optimization to drive business results.
      • Ensures accurate product merchandising, asset management, and attribute maintenance to ensure the most ideal customer experience.
      • Ensures applicable data is entered accurately and is in alignment with Best Buy’s standards to deliver and optimal customer experience.
      • Primary point of contact for cross-functional partners including Category Business Team, Enterprise Product Management, Marketing, Digital Experience, and Digital Channel Management teams to execute customer focused initiatives.
      • Ability to articulate and share channel insights, learnings, and recommendations as the supporting E-Commerce category expert.

      Basic qualifications
      • 1 year of experience problem solving and optimizing experiences
      • 1 year of experience with strong verbal and written communication skills
      • 1 year of experience with proven ability to influence without authority
      • Attention to detail and highly organized

      Preferred qualifications
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Access
      • Associate degree or higher
      • 6+ months of industry experience in E-Commerce, retail, customer service, inventory, merchandising, data management, or web analytics
