- You will be accountable for developing and creating a 12-18m Customer strategy and marketing plan for Fashion / Beauty / Kids & Nursery within Customer and ensuring it ladders up to Customer and Commercial Targets.
- You will be the single point of contact for working with the relevant Commercial team on Customer and Marketing plans and will represent Customer at directorate relevant meetings.
- You will work effectively across the business to ensure activities in service of this plan are planned, prioritised and resources allocated to support the plan.
- You will work closely with the Performance manager to define key measure of success for your areas and activities and ensure along with the campaign manager that any activity is measured against these key success metrics.
- You will support the Head of Category Marketing, Fashion & Beauty to ensure the appropriate budget allocation across your area. You will be accountable for the marketing budget and allocation across activities to support this plan.
- You will be responsible for ensuring consistency with the overall customer, marketing and brand strategies. As well as working with other planning colleagues to align on plans, messages and cross-collaborate to do bigger and better activities.
- You are responsible for working across Customer to review and develop the comms strategy and any positioning for your area and working with them to refine briefs prior to handing over to comms execution.
- Represents the category in key Commercial forums e.g. TPG and reflects any changes in the plan as necessary.
- You will be responsible for working (where appropriate) with colleagues in Waitrose (especially those working on FS) to ensure plans are aligned and launched together where appropriate.
Demonstrable experience of developing customer / marketing plans linked to commercial, brand and customer outcomes.
Working knowledge of planning processes and project management skills.
Marketing, Planning or Trading/ Commercial experience , working on a large omni-channel brand.
Budget management experience .
Experience gathering insight from data to assist decision makers.
Using data visualisation tools, such as Tableau, to make data informed decisions.

Job Summary:
The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The team aim for around 1-2 days a week in the office to connect and on a more ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings but again, are flexible on this. The salary range for this role is set at £53,000 - £80,500Job Description:
You will be accountable for the creation of effective customer/marketing strategies and plans which deliver on the key commercial, brand and customer measures and targets for Fashion / Beauty / Kids & Nursery.
You will be supported by category marketing planning executives and work closely with the Head of Category Marketing, Fashion & Beauty. You will gather support for your proposed plan for category marketing across the Commercial and Customer Leadership teams. You will work closely with the category marketing manager and channel leads to ensure execution of the plans.
You will show a solid understanding of the category, customer data, market and competitor context, and insight. You will connect this to an investment plan designed to meet category and channel performance targets. You will be motivated by the fast pace of retail and resilient to the demands of responding to the trading environment. You are not afraid to course-correct as required.
Work closely with brand strategy, commercial excellence, planning, retail media and your marketing manager partners.
