- UT Health Tyler, the flagship hospital of the system, has 502 licensed beds specializing in advanced acute care medicine. Our hospital includes a 24-hour ER with a Level 1 trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, more than 500 physicians, and a full complement of subspecialty groups.
Prepare patients for radiologic technologist to perform diagnostic procedures in a manner that ensures an accurate and complete examination/treatment by complying with established policies and
procedures.
- Organizes and documents all aspects of assigned patient care in coordination with radiologists, nursing personnel, and other areas of the department to ensure accurate and timely performance of radiology procedures.
- Participates in performance improvement activities by participating in the collection of data for performance improvement activities to ensure quality is consistent with established standards.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Enrolled in an AMA approved Radiology program.
- Knowledge and ability to operate all radiology/imaging equipment.
- CPR Certified Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire date
- Knowledge and use of all Diagnostic radiation producing equipment to set parameters.
- Ability to use equipment with a technologist.
- Independent use of clinical knowledge and experience.
- Knowledge of radiation safety
- Good communication skills
- Understanding of patient needs all ages
- Basic computer skills
