- You must be registered as a practicing pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) (or eligible for registration within 3 months of commencement) with post registration clinical or management qualifications, or equivalent skills/experience. You must have the ability to rotate across sites, work on call, weekends, after hours and public holidays if required.
- Demonstrated extensive experience in hospital pharmacy practice, preferably in a large teaching hospital, including experience managing the provision of pharmacy services in accordance with National Safety and Quality Health Standards.
- Proven ability and commitment to effectively role model, champion and promote teamwork. Oversee staff development and overcome barriers to teamwork, communication and collaboration.

This is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.
A rare opportunity has become available for a Deputy Director of Pharmacy to lead the team at Central Coast Local Health District. You will be in an excellent position to show case your skills and make a positive difference to the team and the provision of services to the Central Coast Community.
About You
Where you'll be working
You will be predominantly based at Gosford Hospital, however may be required to travel to Wyong Hospital on occasion.
As the Deputy Director of Pharmacy you will be responsible for the effective operation of pharmacy services across the Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), in collaboration with the Director of Pharmacy and second CCLHD Deputy Director of Pharmacy (Wyong).
The position will have a direct operational role regarding the management of senior pharmacists at Gosford Hospital as well as a strategic role in determining services, standards and priorities for the Pharmacy department across the CCLHD.
