      Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Program

      Union Health is excited to announce that the certified clinical medical assistant program (CCMA) is returning for Fall 2025. Union Health and Union Medical Group (UMG) take pride in offering professional growth and development activities of this kind. Supporting and growing our staff is important to the success of the organization.

      Content the student will learn includes but is not limited to:

      • The anatomy of the body

      • Medical terminology

      • Vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, respirations, and temperature)

      • How to perform a clinical intake on a patient

      • How to perform an electrocardiogram (ECG)

      • Laboratory values (normal and abnormal)

      • Understanding specific diagnostic testing

      • Administering injections

      • Phlebotomy (how to draw blood)

      • Common medications, actions, and side effects

      Program details

      • Hybrid-In-class work-learning experience in an ambulatory setting for 10 weeks.

      • Paid class time.

      • Tuition is 100% paid.

      • Must be interviewed, selected, and hired as a Union Health employee.

      • Must work within the hired department as an Intake Assistant while attending classes.

      • Upon obtaining certification, transition from an Intake Assistant into a CCMA role within the designated department of hire.

      • If selected, the start date as an Intake Assistant will be August 4, 2025.

      Must have a High School Diploma or GED.

      Previous medical office or healthcare experience preferred.

      Internal applicants are considered based on transfer policy eligibility requirements.

      Internal applicants (current Union Health employees) please apply as a transfer applicant.

      External applicants (currently those not employed by Union Health) please apply as a new (external) applicant.

      Please note, participation in the program requires a minimum commitment of one -year in a full-time CCMA role.
