      Comprehensive Development Classroom

      Instructional Assistant Position Announcement

      Foothills Elementary School is seeking an instructional assistant.

      This part-time position is for 29 hours/week.

      Education, Certification and Related Work Experience :

      • High School Diploma (2 years college preferred)
      • Meets highly qualified requirements for classified staff

      Qualities of a Desired Candidate Include :

      • Work with students under the supervision of administration and special and regular education teachers.
      • Demonstrate an aptitude and flexibility to work with multiple schedules and student needs.
      • Ability to lift 40-50 lbs.
      • Tend to diapering and personal care needs of students
      • Maintain student records and confidentiality
      • Work closely with supervising teacher to provide support to students in the classroom, as well as address individual needs in an inclusionary setting
      • Commitment to student achievement and growth.
      • Commitment and loyalty to the school and position.
      • Other responsibilities as assigned by administration, including flexibility in daily schedule.
      • Possess honesty, integrity, and professionalism
