      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

      The criteria for evaluation in the CDL Driver Class A position include but are not limited to the following:

      • Drive the truck to your destination in a safe and efficient manner.
      • Operates various types of mobile equipment safely to load and unload them to and from the semi-trailer.
      • Maintain telephone or radio contact with the supervisor.
      • Maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations.
      • Responsible for daily pre-trip inspection of truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
      • Must oil, grease, service, and make normal operating adjustments to equipment.
      • May perform other related duties, such as lifting and moving of transported materials.
      • Covering/uncovering load, changing wheels, loosening/tightening lugs.

      OTHER REQUIREMENTS

      • CDL Driver Class A must display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
      • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
      • Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
      • Report to the assigned job site in proper attire and ready to begin work at the designated start time.
      • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Policies, Programs & Procedures Manual.
      • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.

      QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

      To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.       • Must possess a Commercial Drivers’ License and necessary endorsements in accordance with 49 CFR 383.91: combination vehicle (Group A).
      • Must possess, or be able to obtain, current DOT Medical Qualification.
      • An air brake skills test is required for all vehicles that have air brakes.
      • Must meet Driver Qualification Standards for RK Hall Construction.
      • Must be able to safely drive each piece of mobile equipment on and off the trailer and secure it for transport.
      • RK Hall, LLC conducts post-conditional offer background checks, fitness for duty evaluation, and pre-employment drug testing.

      EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

      Less than high school education; or up to six months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
