  Right now, we are looking for a solution architect / software developer to our Content Delivery Networks (CDN) team. The CDN is today fully operational and the bases for Telia’s streaming services cross border. The team has an end-to-end responsibility for the CDN including development, service management and system maintenance.

  I am Jeanette Wetterheim and I am leading IP Network West, which is part of CPS/NSD. We are responsible for IP networks development, maintenance and operations in Sweden and Norway and our focus is to deliver best quality and efficient services to our customers. Together with our colleagues within IP Network & Transport our target is to harmonize current fixed and mobile networks and implement more efficient solutions where we can deliver scale to Countries and Business units applicable for several countries.

  As IP Network Engineer within the CDN area you will have the responsibility to develop and maintain the CDN platforms. Typical daily tasks will involve life cycle management, development, testing, documentation and problem solving. Additionally, you will have a key role when it comes to design and support stakeholder in the decision-making process to secure quality and customer satisfaction. You will be part of an agile development team working close to other development teams aligned with the SAFe ART model.

  The role includes, but is not limited to:

  • CDN solution architecture and platform
  • Proactive solution maintenance including new technology where applicable
  • Development and maintenance of CDN application specific software
  • Software patching and upgrade
  • Network element configuration
  • Analysis of real time operational metrics
  • Secure high network quality and follow up of performance

  You are independent with a strong drive and passionate about testing, analysis, finding root causes and solving problems in the network and achieve desired results. You have good ability to work with many different internal and external units. The view from the customer’s perspective controls your initiatives and priorities. You have a very positive attitude and the ability to stimulate innovation and new thinking is a part of your personality.

  Your Experience:

  • University degree in computer science or similar education
  • Experience from IP network design including switch and router configuration
  • Experience from software development, preferably with Go, C and/or Java
  • Experience with open source environments and Linux
  • Good understanding of HTTP, DNS, TLS and TCP/IP
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the above fields
  • Good communication skills verbal and written
  • Fluent Swedish and English both in speech and in writing
  • Sweden citizenship is required for this position

  If you have any of the following it would be meriting:

  • Experience from video processing and/or video streaming
  • Experience from Content Delivery Networks (CDN)
  • Experience of DevOps and agile software development
  • Time series databases, such as Prometheus
