      You’ll be joining our Marketing Tech and Operations org, which supports Zillow’s mission by enabling marketing with the technology, data, and infrastructure vital to delivering an incredible customer experience.

      About the role

      We are looking for an experienced Marketing Technologist or Marketing Engineer to help build highly coordinated and efficient infrastructure that powers Zillow's marketing organization. We serve as technical liaison between marketing, product, engineering, and marketing vendor teams to bring all partners together toward a common goal. As part of the Customer Data Platform team, you will integrate with and operate on various marketing systems and will be a key point person for data infrastructure that supports critical marketing initiatives and campaigns.

      This role performs a combination of hands-on-keyboard work and technical program management, working collaboratively to deliver automation capabilities that empower our customers. The ideal candidate shines in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, and has a balance of program management and hands-on technical skills.       You Will Get To:

      • Play a key role in configuration, integration, and operations of marketing systems, including Customer Data Platform, to enable centralized customer data management, Integrated Marketing Campaigns, channel activation, and reporting.
      • Drive the marketing technology roadmap by participating in onboarding of new platforms including requirements definition, implementation, integration, execution, testing and validation, data and security compliance review, and training of end user teams.
      • Be involved in shaping MarTech system design and help guide technical architecture discussions and decisions to establish a flexible, scalable, and secure tech stack.
      • Understand business requirements and identify data needs to enable marketing to deliver a personalized customer experience.
      • Implement integrations between systems, write queries to transform and validate data, build audience segments, and develop ETLs to federate data to a variety of channels.
      • Collaborate with teams across marketing, product, and engineering to develop detailed technical project plans and align on roadmaps.
      • Develop and contribute to prototypes, code samples, demos, and peer reviews.
      • Coordinate with other dev dependencies to align cross-tech team sprint schedules & release plans.
      • Document and maintain standardized and efficient processes, automating as much as possible.

      This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.

      In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York and Washington the standard base pay range for this role is $117,800.00 - $188,200.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York and Washington and may not be applicable to other locations.

      In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

      Qualifications

      • 3+ years experience in Engineering, Analytics, Tech. Operations, or Marketing Technologist role, shipping scalable platforms and services in marketing-related domains.
      • Expertise in SQL, Python (or other programming languages); familiar with ETL tools and integration with Marketing systems.
      • Hands-on experience using AWS services like S3, Lambda, etc.
      • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Operations Management, or similar field preferred or equivalent experience
