Bachelor’s Degree in Parks and Recreation, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a related course of study
3+ Years experience in a recreational environment, including the coordination of recreation programs, leadership, customer experience, and administration
Excellent leadership skills, and a passion for customer experience
Valid State of Texas Driver’s License with a good driving Record
CPR/First Aid/AED Certification
NRPA Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP)
Supervisory experience of both full and part-time staff
Knowledge of recreation facility operations, program coordination, and customer service best practices in a community or municipal setting.
Knowledge of principles related to parks and recreation, kinesiology, or exercise science, with an understanding of program design, wellness initiatives, and public engagement.
Knowledge of safety and risk management protocols within recreation environments, including fitness areas, child watch, and event spaces.
Skill in customer conflict resolution, with a focus on creating positive experiences and ensuring timely issue resolution.
Skill in administrative functions such as budget monitoring, purchasing , and reporting.
Skill in using recreation management software (e.g., ActiveNet ) and Microsoft Office Suite for scheduling, registration, communication, and reporting.
Ability to effectively lead and supervise full-time and part-time staff, including scheduling, training, mentoring, and performance evaluation.
Ability to develop and deliver high-quality programs and services that meet the needs of diverse patrons.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patrons, staff, vendors, and internal departments.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to shifting needs, and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to model excellent leadership skills and demonstrate a strong passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Pay Plan
This opportunity is exempt and on Pay Grade #14. The full Pay Grade Range is shown for growth and development opportunities within the grade. Salary determination is supported by budget availability and qualifications of the candidate to maintain internal equity.
Hiring Range: Min-Mid
