      Job Description

      Manage cross functional/network/global projects for Operations Development functional area. Execute global/regional/country consulting services in all phases: discovery, definition, development, and implementation.

      Main Responsibilities

      • Business process analysis and modelling, business case definition, “what if” scenarios mapping, on demand research about latest technologies, methodologies etc.
      • Identify and propose new projects to improve processes, reduce costs, and innovate operations.
      • Execute consulting services globally & regionally through discovery, definition, development, and implementation phases.
      • Support CEMEX digitalization process, leading the projects related with new technologies, data models, artificial intelligence and IoT.
      • Lead and execute consulting services to define and evolve CEMEX Business and/or Operating models by assessing and deploying global/country improvement opportunities or internal/external best practices for Operations areas.
      • Lead the development of strategic plans and business cases, ensuring alignment with both regional and global business objectives.
      • Lead and manage project teams, including Analysts and other members, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and within-scope delivery.
      • Develop and lead change management strategies to ensure smooth transitions during digital transformations.
      • Define and manage cross functional/global business process improvement, process re-engineering inside defined programs.
      • Conduct thorough assessments to identify high-impact digital transformation opportunities that align with business objective.
      • Train, coach or mentor at all organization levels on: Continuous Improvement concepts and techniques, Design Thinking (business models, Services, Customers Journey, etc), Agile, etc.
      • Identify new business opportunities.
      • Submit regular reports to Management Team about the project/program health and new initiatives in progress.

      Position Challenges

      • Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including regional and central leaders in Production Operations. Secure stakeholder buy-in and manage ongoing engagement to drive the success of transformation initiatives.
      • Influence the direction of strategic programs delivery by incorporating Human Centered Design and Lean Startup principles
      • Provide critical input to upper management on the feasibility, risks, and impacts of various operations digital transformation initiatives.
      • Evaluate and prioritize potential projects based on strategic value, resource availability, and ROI potential.
      • Oversee end-to-end project delivery, ensuring the required quality standards. Proactively manage risks and resolve issues that could impact project success. Ensure responsible financial management throughout project lifecycles.
      • Represent the department in cross-functional meetings and decision-making processes, driving alignment across teams.
      • Regular visits at plant sites to build trust with on-site teams, fostering better collaboration and communication. Commitment to understanding and addressing the needs of the frontline teams who will be directly impacted by digital initiatives.
      • Provide guidance and possible solutions for any occurring problems and issues.

      Qualifications

      • English 100%
      • Academic Background: Engineer background, MBA ideal.
      • Areas of expertise, 3+ years of experience needed.
