      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Facilitate the procurement of insurance authorizations for ordered procedures and post-operative care
      - Validate obtained authorizations and provide continuous feedback to the multi-disciplinary team
      - Act as a centralized resource to ensure standardized and consistent procurement of authorizations
      - Identify areas for performance improvement in workflows and education
      - Communicate effectively with physicians and authorization procurement staff regarding feedback and requirements

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience; 3-5 years related experience preferred
      - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a medical clinic setting or training in a hospital or corporate setting
      - Two years of experience related to healthcare insurance verification and/or billing
      - Strong computer literacy and knowledge of coding and clinical terminology
      - Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Additional coursework in business, computers, or healthcare administration
      - Experience in a medical or surgical specialty clinic
      - Current knowledge of hospital operations, utilization management, and managed care reimbursement
      - Understanding of the revenue cycle with an emphasis on billing and coding
      - Strong analytical and data management skills
