      The Central Flow team provides critical operational insights to the Amazon Fulfillment Technology team and works with leaders to develop advanced and intuitive automated flow control for Amazon operations. Central Flow is comprised of multiple business verticals each tasked with monitoring and overseeing different aspects of daily operations throughout Amazon’s fulfillment network. Central Flow Leads are responsible for monitoring and managing these workflow functions from remote centralized locations in Tempe, Arizona. The list below indicates the various roles that are available within Central Flow.

      This position is NOT remote and DOES require you to be onsite at AZA3 in Tempe, AZ .

      Central Dock Ship Clerk:
      The CSC (Central Ship Clerk) is responsible for NA AR FC ship clerk responsibilities (volume, allocations, trailer moves, ship dock workflow). As an overview, CSC applicants need to raise the bar with clear, concise, prompt, respectful and actionable communication, as well as delivering results through self-initiative and ownership. Applicants should be flexible with shift schedule and may have to work nights or extended hours. Key areas of responsibility include managing the workflow of outbound orders across multiple processes and managing customer experience while minimizing fulfillment cost across multiple FCs. The lead will be responsible for communication of workflow status with Operations Managers and Area Managers and any escalation of any Customer Experience Risks, SLA failure risks or deviation from Standard Work to the Senior Manager(s) and General Manager(s). The lead is expected to play the role of an advisor to the operations team based on their holistic view of the outbound flow and facilitate communication between multiple areas of outbound operations across multiple sites.


      Key job responsibilities
      • Interpret and manage critical business inputs of the ship dock across multiple Fulfillment Centers, such as dock door and sortation layout within each site supported
      • Manage WIP trends for all sort codes and allocate the WIP accordingly throughout all fluid and containerized lanes to prevent Customer Experience risk
      • Understand and utilize a variety of complex Ship Dock tools an systems
      • Perform all duties related to the Ship Dock such as: Start/Finish all loads, Create and follow-up on all transportation cases, input all necessary hostler moves for the Outbound Ship Dock, and escalate Performance Metrics that are out of standard
      • Communicate and build relationships with on-site operators remotely in order provide real-time feedback on best practices and escalate any deviation from Standard Work to the Senior Manager or General Manager
      • Coordinate with Operations to maintain required staffing levels in each process path to minimize Customer Experience risk
      • Provide operational insights and actionable recommendations to FC operations leaders
      • Provide upward feedback for processes and tools to Managers that will be relayed to Technical Product Teams

      We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

      Tempe, AZ, USA- High school or equivalent diploma or equivalent professional or military experience.
      - 1+ year(s) working in data analysis and formula creation in Microsoft Excel
      - Proven ability to deliver on behalf of customers and work in customer-centric environments.
      - Demonstrated experience using data to drive root cause elimination and process improvement.
      - Ability to work out of AZA3 in Tempe, Arizona- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations, Logistics or a related field
      - Amazon Operations or other eCommerce Operations Experience
      - 1+ year(s) experience as a Ship Clerk in a Fulfillment Center
      - A Fundamental understanding of Post-SLAM Delivery Estimate Accuracy (DEA)
      - 1+ year of exposure to supply chain systems and supply chain process paths (pick, stow, count)
      - Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to drive projects and ensure closure within stipulated timelines.
      - Ability to work well in a team environment remotely and act as an advisor.
      - Proficiency in Lean Methodology and Six Sigma
      - Expertise in VBA and Excel Macro creation and modification
