Align and create Logistics Strategy with Corp RTX and execute at the Collins Aerospace level
Drive Contract Coverage – Work with the Lead Logistics Partner (LLP) to ensure Master Transportation Agreements (MTAs) are in place
Leverage and aggregate spend among preferred logistics suppliers
Generate Collins-level Commodity Strategies for LTL and Full Truckload, Small Parcel, Heavy-Air, and Ocean
Negotiates price actions with Logistics partners in supplement to the RTX-level agreements
Drives the organization to achieve Synergy and SmartChoice Logistics savings targets
Establishes a Data Governance plan that is aligned with the TMS Control Tower, Audit (FBAP) Partners, and Carrier data to ensure Freight Spend Visibility
Assesses Freight Spend to distill opportunities for service improvements and cost reductions
Work chronic or acute Transportation issues as escalated to the Central Team by the Carriers or the SBU/Site Logistics Leads
Must be willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time (domestic and international)
Conducts Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with preferred partners
Establishes Maturity Scorecards for the preferred partners
Manage Annual Survey (MFA) for preferred carriers
Communicates with parties within and outside of own function, and typically has responsibilities for communicating with parties external to the organization, (e.g., customers, vendors, etc.).
Works to influence others to accept job function’s view/practices and agree/accept new concepts, practices, and approaches.
Requires ability to communicate with executive leadership regarding matters of significant importance to the organization.
May conduct briefings with senior leaders within the job function
Drive Commercial Optimization – Assisst TMS Group Lead and launch Collins suppliers and commercially optimize our shipments working with our Transportation Management System (TMS) partner
Works “breakthrough projects” to support KPIs, Smart Shipping Savings, and Service improvements including: Consortiums, TMS, Network Redesign
Post-RFQ awards, work with Logistics Operations and SBU Logistics focals to create the KPIs and drive the transitions to the awarded logistics partners
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
Experience with Microsoft Excel (Vlookups, Pivot Tables, Alteryx, Tableau, etc)
5+ years prior experience in logistics
Certification with Institute of Supply Management (ISM) and Association for Supply Chain Management (APICS)
Experience in the Aerospace Industry
Prior experience leading indirect reports
International logistics experience
Prior experience with negotiating contracts

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
