Job Description
- Req#: 150909
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to type; computer knowledge, preferably AHT software; prior knowledge of entering orders into computer preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Written and verbal communication with members of the health care team, patients, and visitors utilizing equipment such as the telephone and intercom
- Maintains confidentiality of patient information
- Assembles, completes and processes patients' charts as indicated
- Orders unit supplies to maintain inventory stock and supplies; assists with receiving, distributing and sorting supplies brought to the unit
- Promotes positive public relations with patients, residents, family members and guests
- Uses tactful, appropriate communications in sensitive and emotional situations
- Use appropriate work place behavior and adhere to dress code at all times
- Other duties as assigned
