Job Description
- Req#: R7060
Together we are Trusted to Serve Scotland.
Most people don’t think too much about how clean water reaches their taps.
But Scottish Water does. In fact, it’s all we think about.
Want to join us? The Intelligent Control Centre (ICC) Business Improvement team is looking for two self-motivated enthusiastic individuals to join the team.
What you’ll do
You'll be working closely with the ICC Management Team and our ICC customers. Your mission? To dive deep into the data and figure out what it's telling us about our performance and how our assets are doing. You'll need to be a great communicator, finding ways to improve our processes and systems.
Plus, you’ll be managing improvement projects, and checking if they're making a difference. Also, you will be all about promoting optimization, best practices, and innovation in the customer and asset areas of our business.
Your main job will be creating management reports for ICC, helping us make continuous improvements. To do that, you'll need to be excellent at building relationships with people from all levels of the company. You'll work closely with different parts of the business to find ways to make things run smoother.
You'll also have to collect, report, and share technical info that helps us achieve our ICC goals. This means spotting trends and performance changes to keep the team and customers in the know about potential risks. What you’ll need
You should have solid analytical skills and it's a big plus if you know your way around Power BI.
We'd love for you to be a good problem solver and a great communicator. You should be a tech whiz, comfortable with tools like Excel, Access, Visio, Asset Inventory, and have experience with business reporting systems like Power BI.
Logical thinking, investigating complex info, and presenting it in a way that fits the audience – these are all crucial and excellent data management skills are a must.
Beyond that, we’re looking for a few ‘nice-to-haves’. Strong planning and process mapping skills, familiarity with BSI and ISO documentation/processes and experience with business reporting systems and tools like SharePoint.
Plus, if you're great at facilitating and collaborating using your analytical and problem-solving skills, that's a huge bonus!Looking out for you
While the work we do is important, we know it’s not the only thing that matters. That’s why we make sure you have everything you need to find a good work-life balance.
You’ll get plenty of time to recharge with 38 days of holiday every year (including public holidays). And you can even buy five more if you need a little extra time. You can also take paid time off to volunteer in your community.
When it comes to major life events we have family-friendly policies around adoption, maternity, and parental leave. And for the everyday? We embrace flexible working.
For your future, there’s our pension (the ‘know-what-you’ll-get-when-you-retire’ kind), as well as life assurance.
As for some nice extras? You can expect an annual company bonus. Not to mention access to SW Splash – handy rewards that can save you money on holidays, bills, and shopping.
