The job of a Certificated Guest (Substitute) Teacher is to facilitate student success in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of students providing a safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc. Essential Functions Teach to district approved course goals and objectives. Instruct pupils in citizenship and basic subject matter specified by state law and administrative regulations of the school district. Provide individual and group instruction so that each pupil can achieve scholastic educational objectives. Use instructional materials suitable for the instruction of pupils with wide ranges of mental, physical, and emotional maturation.
