What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct group practice coding activities, including encounter review, missing charge reconciliation, and RCx Rules review and reconciliation
- Communicate with providers and office staff to address outstanding issues and provide education
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date coding records
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coding accuracy and compliance
- Stay informed about coding guidelines and regulations to ensure adherence
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Certified Coder
- Knowledge of coding guidelines and regulations, including RCx Rules
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in medical coding software and systems
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a nonprofit healthcare organization
- Knowledge of healthcare IT systems and technology
- Certification in additional coding specialties
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy
