      Job Summary

      • Schedule : Full Time, 36 hours, 7P-7A (night shift). Rotating weekends & holidays required. This unit self-schedules.
      • Department : Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
      • Location : Forsyth Medical Center, Winston Salem, NC
      • Unit Info: Provides expert, around-the-clock intensive care for premature and seriously ill babies born or transferred here from outlying counties. Our specialized team works to help bring little ones home as soon as possible. This unit is a level III and level IV NICU, and also houses stable intermediate infants (ficare).

      Provides and documents assistance to patients with activities of daily living and maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.

      Qualifications

      • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
      • Experience: One year of relevant experience, preferred.
      • Licensure/Certification:
        • Completion of NAI program, required.
        • Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, required.
        • Medication Safety - AME, required.
        • NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
      • Additional skills preferred: Basic computer skills for documentation.
