      JOB INFORMATION:

      Alaris Health at Kearny a 120 bed-skilled nursing Center in Kearny, New Jersey, seeks a certified nursing assistant to perform various resident care activities and related non-professional services that are essential to caring for residents’ personal needs and comfort. Additional responsibilities include:

      · completing unit rounds and ensuring that all resident rooms are clean and orderly

      · assisting the nursing supervisor with input in the appraisal process and selecting candidates (interviews, tours, etc.)

      · making both occupied and unoccupied beds and coordinates with all departments to ensure a timely sanitation of rooms upon discharge

      · coordinating internal and external appointments and activities

      · ensuring that proper adaptive devices are in place

      · and above all, ensuring that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights

      JOB REQUIREMENTS:

      · Minimum of a high school education or high school equivalency diploma is preferred

      · Must have full command of the English language (written, oral and verbal)

      · Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and providing related bedside resident care services

      · Understand standard techniques used in providing personal services for residents and in caring for equipment and supplies

      · Able to work rotating shifts and in different units as needed

      · Ability to positively interact with everyone from residents to government agencies and the general public
