      Job Title: Remote Pharmacy Technician

      Job Description

      We are seeking dedicated Pharmacy Technicians located in Florida, Alabama, or South Carolina to join a dynamic Pharmacy Services department within a large healthcare insurance company. This role involves reviewing Prior Authorizations, approving or denying them, and forwarding them to a Pharmacist for final review. Technicians will handle all health plans and types of medications.

      Responsibilities

      • Process prescription exceptions, including resolving claim rejects and conducting member and physician outreach.
      • Enter member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system.
      • Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and/or escalated member issues.
      • Escalate prescription-related questions to a Pharmacist for interpretation or provide direction on processing.
      • Assist with inbound and/or outbound patient or physician calls.

      Essential Skills

      • High School diploma or GED.
      • Current Pharmacy Registration and Certification as required by state of operation.
      • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Must be a Nationally Certified Technician.
      • Registered pharmacy technician in the state of residence.
      • Prior experience in call center, PBM, hospital, or specialty pharmacy environments is beneficial.

      Work Environment

      This position offers the opportunity to work remotely in a professional environment. Candidates must have strong Wi-Fi and a dedicated office space with a closed door. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 8pm in the respective time zone, with rotating weekends every 4-6 weeks and some holidays. Training will be conducted from 10am to 6:30pm EST.       Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
