- Assisting surgeons and other medical professionals during surgical procedures in the outpatient surgical center.
- Preparing operating rooms by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and readily available.
- Positioning and draping patients appropriately for surgical procedures.
- Passing instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures.
- Maintaining a sterile field throughout surgical procedures to prevent infections.
- Anticipating the needs of the surgical team and proactively providing assistance.
- Assisting with patient transport to and from the operating room.
- Participating in post-operative cleanup and sterilization of equipment and operating rooms.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborating with other members of the healthcare team to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Documenting patient information and surgical procedures accurately and in a timely manner.
- Remaining current on best practices and advancements in surgical technology and techniques.
- Must be a Certified Surgical Technician
- At least 2 years of Orthopedic Experience Preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- Knowledge of surgical instruments and specialized equipment, required.
- Successful completion from a nationally accredited educational program for surgical technologist, holds and maintains a certified surgical technologist (CST)
- Must be and remain in good standing with NYS regulations, required. Prior experience as an Operating Room Technician required. Top of Form
