Job Description

- The CFO acts as a true business partner with brand leadership in country and at brand HQs to develop a healthy working environment, foster cross brand cooperation and levarage where necessary the Richemont added value.
- The CFO is responsible for maintaining appropriate governance mechanisms including chairing management meetings, business review meetings and ensuring the company`s values are inherent in every part of the Benelux and Nordics business.
- As Director of several legal entities within the market cluster structure (including the Regional legal entity), the role bears the responsibility of various entities towards the authorities, and needs to ensure full compliance with laws and regulations.
- The role also act as a facilitator and problem-solver across multiple subjects which touch cross-brand initiatives such as real estate, compliance, key partners or other distributors, and ad hoc projects, evaluating the projects and the benefits of new multi-brand initiatives and bringing forward a first negotiation to the benefit of all Brands.
- The role of coordination and animation of Richemont Support Functions is central to the business of the country and the CFO is responsible for ensuring the Support Functions meet all reasonable requirements of the Brands.
- Responsible for the management and development of the Finance team (Accounting, Retail Back-Office and Controlling departments), i.e. recruiting, inducting, training, motivating, assigning / prioritising tasks, delegating and monitoring progress, defining and reviewing objectives, up-date job rankings, annual performance rating, PMP (Performance Management Process) meetings, proposing salaries within an allocated budget, succession planning and job rotation.

- Responsible for the on-time and accurate preparation, analysis and submission of monthly financial statements, management information and other reports, as per Group and Maison requirements
- Responsible for producing the year-end statutory Financial Statements of the Company

Responsible for obtaining a clean audit opinion from the Group’s external auditors and, during the audit, responsible for producing the final reporting package and providing any information required by the Group’s external auditors. - Budgets and LEs
Responsible for the on-time and accurate preparation, analysis and submission of Brand, Support Functions and total Company budgets and latest estimates - Day-to-day support to the Boutiques
- Responsible for checking transactions that are initiated in the Company’s internal boutiques
- Resposible for providing support to Retail staff in case of special cases e.g. compliance with anti-money laundering procedures, improving existing procedures e.g. stronger controls/efficiency gains

Responsible for the accurate on-time production of monthly reports to brands and the head of Support Functions (e.g. capex and A&P monitoring, detailed P&Ls, etc.) - ICS Compliance
Responsible for obtaining a clean opinion from both the Group’s external auditors and Richemont’s Central ICS Team (at the end of their respective ICS audits);
Responsible for the management of the project (and in particular, the timing of the various tasks, the allocation of these tasks, review of progress) - Investment requests and other ad-hoc requests
Responsible for the production of relevant documents, as per Brand or Head of Support Functions department requests (if necessary, in compliance with Group policies) (e.g. boutique investment request, three-year country development plans, Sales analysis, boutique closing exit costs forecast, etc.) - Responsible for the definition, initial rollout, maintenance, upgrade, etc., of all accounting and finance systems and of the Finance part of other systems (e.g. Concur, SAP VIM), as and when required.
- Responsible for continuously improving existing systems by taking into account Brand requests, time-consuming tasks, etc... to identify areas of improvements and by launching workshops and leading projects to deliver these improvements
- Responsible for rolling out new Group financial and management reporting systems, as and when required.

- Full knowledge of the Richemont Group Finance policies and procedures and of IFRS that are applicable to Richemont local entities
- Responsible for training all Company staff on these Group Finance policies and procedures / IFRS, as appropriate, considering staff’s respective job descriptions

- Participation in wider Company projects (e.g. Brand integrations) and responsible for the finance part of these projects
- As a member of the Company’s Executive Committee, participation in the development and implementation of Company goals, policies, priorities, and procedures
- Liaison with Group Finance team (Richemont Geneva) and other key Brand and Group personnel
- Responsible for liaising with Group Internal Auditors, during their audits of finance controls
- Liaison with banks and other institutions, as may be required from time to time by the business (e.g. statistics department)
- Responsible for ensuring that Service Level Agreements (“SLA”) are in place between Richemont Finance and the various business customers and monitoring customer satisfaction on a regular basis to ensure SLAs are respected and potential performance improvement areas are identified and agreed
- With Facilities team, take full ownership of all planning & coordination of technical installations, refurbishments, upkeep and supplies to meet the health & safety standards.
- Oversee the full activities of the Facilities department, who are in charge of regularly conducting inspections to determine renovation & repair needs, reviewing utility consumption, managing external contractors, insurance plans, service contracts and also maintaining excellent first point of contact for our guest working with our Reception team for hosting and event management purposes.
- In line with Richemont Europe Physical Security (RLGE - PS) and Health & Safety & Environment (HSE) strategy, objectives, and Group Directives, responsible for the management, implementation, coordination, and leadership of all security and safety aspects within the designated area.
- Oversee all security processes & regulations, understanding that a safe workspace is a happy workspace. With our Security and Healthy & Safety team, responsible for the regional security standards for our Amsterdam office and our Boutiques in Benelux & Nordics.
- Aligning and adapting our Security regulations and Richemont guidelines to the local law, communicating to Richemont Europe about key processes and ensuring strong collaboration with all stakeholders (Richemont Europe Security, Richemont Regional Functions, Brands and external suppliers).
- Responsible for the development, management, and promotion of the local Health & Safety, in accordance with Richemont policies & guidelines, adapting them to local legal & insurance requirements. This includes hazard identification, risk evaluation, contingency & emergency response process.
MAIN PURPOSE
Leadership role for all Support functions in Benelux & Nordics market including CRC/E-Com and Logistics activities with a European scope based in Amsterdam, as well as governance oversight for cross-brand activities, and representation of Richemont more broadly towards external bodies and authorities.
Directly manage Finance, Security, Health & Safety and Building & Office departments for the Benelux & Nordics business activities (500+ FTE). Direct management scope is 30 employees from the above-mentioned departments. Indirectly, you will also oversee and facilitate the team collaboration and performance of the Regional support functions (Finance, Logistics, Customer Service, Client Relations, eCommerce, IT & HR), cross-brand activities and be the main representative for external bodies and authorities. The subsidiary currently has 9 legal entities.
This role requires strong ethical values and excellent persuasive abilities to gain people’s respect; a high level of emotional intelligence and diplomatic skills together with a real results-driven focus. It requires a proven track record of a fast, reliable, qualitative and cost effective problem-solving approach in order to achieve objectives of the Group’s continued growth strategy. The ideal candidate for this role has experienced across market cluster as well as international business cultures and is motivated by strategic projects. This position works with Senior Managers across multiple brands and Executives within the Group, both in Benelux and Nordics and beyond, so commercial business acumen is essential as well as an ability to handle multiple priorities.

Responsible for accurate accounts payable, accounts receivable (cash collection, improvement of DSO and overdues) incl. support of RLG Europe Operations team on wholesale sales cash collection, GL accounts, accruals, activation and depreciation of assets, stock controls, preparation and on-time submission of BCS and statutory reports, accurate vendor and customer masterdata as well as management of internal and external audits
Responsible for financial retail processes, credit card transactions and matching, anti-fraud and anti-money laundering testing, wire transfer confirmation, stock control, retail trainings, compliance with Group and Maison retail operating procedures and boutique audits
Responsible for preparation of brand and Richemont Support Functions budgets and latest estimates, cost control and variance analysis vs budget or latest estimates, ad-hoc analysis for brands and Support Functions, management reporting
Responsible for all compliance tasks, testings, walk throughs and ICS reporting, audits and ICS reviews with regional and global ICS team. Ensure segregation of duties and mitigating controls as well as proper system access controls.
Responsible for all tax filings, tax returns, tax audits and contact with local tax authorities. Inform brands, Support Functions and Global Tax department in case of changes in local tax rules. Continuously seek for areas of improvement of tax structure and tax payments.
Responsible for all payment processes, approvals, nettings and bank accounts. Continuously look for improvements and efficiencies in the area of cash management and treasury processes.
