      Operations & Technology (O&T) is a $1.4B operating cash flow ($2.3B FCF) division of NBCUniversal. The group provides global services within NBCUniversal performing critical functions including Media, Broadcast and Studio Operations, Production, and Engineering Services, Enterprise Technical Operations and Engineering Services, Global Physical and Cyber Security Services, and Global Real Estate and Facilities Services (inclusive of Sustainability Initiatives). The group operates from numerous locations around the world, including New York, New Jersey, Los Angeles, Miami, Orlando, Denver, Atlanta, Washington DC and London.

      Job Description

      The CFO, Production & Operations is responsible for all Production Operations for NBCUniversal News Group, any other 30 Rock Productions included but not limited to our Entertainment programming (e.g., The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Seth Meyers, Saturday Night Live, and The Kelly Clarkson Show), Facilities Management in New York and New Jersey, and our Guest Experiences that include The Tour at NBC Studios, The Shop at NBC Studios, and Show Audience Operations. Production Operations includes content management (e.g., ingest, archival, edit) and control room and studio operations. The role will report to the Chief Financial Officer for Operations & Technology and be accountable to the EVP of Rockefeller Center Operations, EVP of News Group O&T, and EVP of Telemundo O&T. The overall financial coverage for the scope of responsibility is $0.5B operating cash flow and $0.1-$0.2B of capital across these organizations.

      The Position:

      Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

      • Partner with business leaders in overall management and direction of the business from a financial perspective including the development and implementation of business strategies, growth opportunities and operational goals
      • Provide leadership in the development of strategic financial objectives aligned with the long-range plan of the organization. Lead all core finance processes (budgets, pacing, estimate updates, long-range plans) for the global organizations
      • Structure, coach, and develop an outstanding team of 15+ finance professionals
      • Lead the preparation and delivery of monthly op reviews
      • Work to drive change as needed while also seeking to create buy-in and build consensus amongst internal stakeholders, developing critical relationships with production organizations
      • Exhibit at all times O&T’s leadership principles, and ensure that the operations remain focused on reliability, availability, productivity, growth, and security

      Qualifications

      What You Must Have:

      • Minimum of 15 years of financial leadership experience
      • Minimum 5 years of financial planning and/or operational finance experience

      What Will Make You Stand Out:

      • Prior relevant senior financial management and leadership experience, preferably in a dynamic, transformative matrixed organization
      • Proven experience managing financial metrics in the media/production industry, with a strong preference for experience supporting live, studio-based News and Entertainment production.
      • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field. MBA and/or CPA a plus
      • Must demonstrate integrity, excellent judgment and business acumen, providing thoughtful strategic insights to senior leadership that translate into successful business strategies
      • Proven execution focus with the ability to multi-task and lead wide ranging business initiatives
      • Excellent writing and verbal presentation skills and strong project management skills
      • Prior CFO or P&L leadership a plus
      • A credible strategic thought leader, in an experienced leadership team, who can move quickly and seize opportunities in a rapidly changing media landscape
      • An inspirational and inclusive leader with the ability to recruit, develop, diversify and retain a high performing financial team
      • Must have a flexible, creative approach to the business and ability to modify their experience and knowledge base and adapt to the organization
      • Persuasive communicator with a vision, a proven ability to self-motivate who can work independently as well as collaboratively, and effectively deal with strong personalities and points of view
      • Able to establish trust and rapport with both operating and financial leaders inside the organization as well as in adjacent organizations
      • Acts like an owner, not a renter

      Salary range: $270,000 - $315,000 (bonus and long-term incentive eligible)
