      We are seeking CG Supervisor to join our team of talented artists, working across our feature and episodic productions in our Animation division.

      As a CG Supervisor you will be responsible for working closely with the DFX Supervisor, Producer and Department Supervisors to oversee every aspect of production for an animated feature film or TV Series. Under the supervision of the DFX Supervisor and Production Manager, the CG Supervisor brings expertise to both the technical and artistic aspects of the project while working in collaboration with the various department supervisors or leads. This is a leadership role with a positive attitude towards problem solving and supporting the crew as a go-to person for technical questions.

      Responsibilities:

      • Works directly with DFX Supervisor and other Department Supervisors/Leads to determine and advise technical solutions
      • Ensures quality of work is of the highest standards within the budget.
      • Collaborates with the DFX Supervisor to breakdown the show and find simple solutions for complex problems.
      • Advises, forecasts, escalates and ensures timely delivery of production department assignments and scheduling
      • Corresponds with other department managers on dailies, workflow, and pipeline strategies, providing ongoing improvement to processes and methodology.
      • Responsible for workflow, organization, shot continuity, and quality control metrics
      • Evaluates the technical requirements for the project and the production pipeline; finds and proposes solutions that are in concordance with the Pipeline Team, Production Team and the Department Supervisors;
      • Prepares, mentors, and documents the production guidelines and instructions for the supervisors
      • Verifies technical solutions proposed by other crew members
      • Attends weekly meetings with Production crew and Supervisors to discuss weekly goals and potential issues
      • Hands-on with tools and techniques, and fixes production issues if required

      This is not meant to be an exhaustive list of duties. The need for flexibility is required, and the post holder is expected to carry out any other related duties that are within the employee's skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.

      • Previous series or feature animation experience as a Lead or Supervisor
      • Good understanding of colour pipeline, look development, lighting, and compositing
      • Strong knowledge of Houdinin and Shotgrid
      • Confidence dealing with and managing clients and crew
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
