      Chaplain, Spiritual Care, Full-Time, Days

      Join our BSA Hospital team as a day shift Chaplain!

      BSA Health System, located in Amarillo, TX, is an extensive health system providing clinical excellence to the Texas Panhandle and the tri-state area. Acclaimed for its superior quality and customer service, BSA Health System is comprised of BSA Hospital, Physicians Surgical Hospitals, Harrington Cancer Center, BSA Physicians Group and specialty clinics. BSA Health System has 486 licensed beds.


      Responsibilities

      Responsibilities:

      • The Chaplain will provide spiritual and supportive care to patients, families and employees of BSAHS.
      • This Chaplain will primarily provide services to ICU department
      • Spiritual care services include assessment of needs, developing and implementing a plan of care to promote spiritual well-being, and communication with interdisciplinary team.
      • Schedule does include one night per week of On Call assignment, responding to emergencies.

      Qualifications

      Education/Licenses/Certifications:

      • Preferred: Masters Degree in theology, religious education or related field from accredited Seminary or Graduate school
      • Clinical Pastoral Education, or related professional certification

      Certification/Licenses/Education REQUIRED

      • Holds ordination or endorsement by a denomination or religious organization
      • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited institution

      Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

      • Three years work providing spiritual care in a health care facility
      • OR Five years work providing spiritual care in a church or institutional setting
      • Desire to exemplify the BSA culture, including the BSA Mission, Vision and the BSA Way
      • Effective knowledge of spiritual and emotional needs of persons and ability to make appropriate interventions
      • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
      • Excellent organizational skills
      • Mature judgement
      • Excellent collaborative and teamwork skills
      • Functions effectively under stress and in dynamic environment
