- Due to the sensitive nature of this role, only males applicants will be considered.
- Assists with developing and implementing resources needed for successful reintegration of inmates into Mission resources and local church communities. This includes, but is not limited to, helping inmates with transportation, employment, housing, discipleship, and connection to program intake.
- Assists with developing and implementing resources needed to support families of incarcerated individuals.
- Teaches/facilitates classes (Basic Life Skills, Bible studies, chapel services, etc.) at the King County Regional Justice Center and other correctional facilities.
- Assists in recruiting, supervising, training, and encouraging volunteers for their specific assignments.
- Adheres to all State, County, and Municipal institutional protocols for work in respective facilities.
- Meet weekly with supervisor and recovery team to discuss status of assigned men and any pertinent program information.
- Record, report, and maintain required records and statistical information.
- Perform periodic drug screening of men as requested.
- Maintain a positive, pleasant, professional Christian attitude. Collaborate with other staff to forge and model transparent and supportive Christian relationships which will serve as a leadership example for recovery program men.

- Attend and participate in all Mission, Division and Department meetings and training, as required.
- Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Acknowledge and sign the Mission's Statement of Faith (see below).
- Bachelor’s degree in theology or related field required.
- 3+ years of prior pastoral experience required.
- 2 - 3 years of experience with teaching and/or facilitating group classes within the criminal justice system preferred.
- Posses a valid Washington State Driver's License and being able to meet the standards of the Mission driver criteria required, including but not limited to:
- Clean driving record
- No current suspensions or revocations
- At least 21 years of age
- Maintains a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Him.
- Faithfully upholds The Mission and your team in prayer.
- Participates in team devotions as schedule permits.
- Demonstrates behavior aligned with the Mission’s Statement of Faith, Standard of Conduct, policies, and expectations.
- Effectively represents Jesus Christ to a diverse audience, including our Mission teams, our volunteers, guests and homeless neighbors.

This role will teach/facilitate classes at correctional facilities; recruit volunteers to serve in the institutions, and to provide correspondence.
Target starting Pay: $25.39/hour
Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, Some Saturdays; hours varies

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time in a temperature-controlled environment. Requires frequent use of computers, keyboarding, and talking on the telephone. Frequently uses good judgement and cognition to problem solve and support guest needs. Occasionally you will stand, balance, twist, bend, stoop, kneel and reach with hands/arms. Regularly lifts up to 20 pounds and walks using stairways to climb to multiple floors within the facility. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
