      What We Do:

      OhioMHAS operates regional psychiatric hospitals in six locations across the state that operate 365/24/7. Our specialized facilities provide short-term, intensive treatment to patients in both inpatient and community-supported environments. We also deliver comprehensive care to patients committed through the criminal justice system.

      Salary Information:

      $28.92 - $40.46 per hour

      Work Hours 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (Flex as Needed)

      What You'll Do:

      Plans & conducts Chapel Worship Services at NBH: Administers Holy Communion; provides 1:1 pastoral Counseling services to people with severe mental illness, ages 18 through geriatrics, their families & staff; organizes worship services; conducts interview & Spiritual Assessments; responds to Treatment Team & unit staff requests & maintains records & documentation; conducts 1:1 counseling & therapy groups focusing on the effects of substance abuse upon mental & physical health; assists with development & implementation of self-help programs & interventions.

      Provides or assists with spiritual guidance & clinical pastoral education to clients, family, &/or staff at NBH: networks with community clergy to provide spiritual guidance to patient with different religious; makes contact with community clergy to enlist clergy for patient visitation; speaks to community services & resource groups concerning mental health & their responsibilities in assisting in the care of people with severe mental illness; visits units & clients confined to units on regular basis & counsel family members &/or staff with a variety of problems; interviews new clients; develops procedures for chaplaincy program at NBH & ensures compliance by outside church groups; attends treatment team meetings; provides services to ex-patients living in the community when needed.

      Performs other Rehabilitation Services Department duties to facilitate a total integrated psychosocial rehabilitation recovery approach: completes all documentation in a timely fashion as needed or assigned (e.g., progress notes, religious assessments, incident reports); involved in development & implementation of hospital-wide activities & participates in departmental & mandated in-service training meetings; serves on committees & teams; utilize OhioMHAS approved office productivity software, approved intranet & Internet resources & information systems in an appropriate work related manner as specified in the Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare Personal Computer Usage Guidelines for Employees.
