      Responsibilities

      Review, analyze and coordinate charge master activities.

      • Utilize clinical and coding knowledge to ensure accurate and compliant charge items and to recognize and resolve billing inconsistencies.
      • Collaborate with managed care department to code billable items for reimbursement. Collaborate with appropriate staff to secure information for billable items.
      • Analyze content of reports and software edits to facilitate revisions with appropriate departments.
      • Coordinate projects and audits to improve processes related to revenue cycle, efficiency of charging and billing, and collection efforts.
      • Educate case management staff and other departments regarding payer changes and denial/appeal process.

      Requirements

      Education:

      • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

      Additional Preferences

      Clinical and medical billing and coding knowledge for inpatient and outpatient settings.
